Re: Observations from the Public Meeting regarding the Boston University Rehabilitation Project

Content of the meeting

The meeting was from 6.30pm to 8.00 pm, the Director of the Accelerated Bridge Program, Mr. Jonathan Gulliver did a presentation about the historic of the Bridge and the reasons why it was imperative that it get renovated.
He showed the prevision for the project in term of time, remodeling of the road as well as the bridge and the impact this project will have on the citizens of Cambridge, Brighton, the BU community, and the economy.

Assertion #1

The second part gave the opportunity to the participants to actually express their concerned, give their opinions and even suggestions. It was very controversial because people had concerned on many points, and were dissatisfied about how this meeting was advertised.
The people who are the most concerned about this project are the bicyclists, who find the model of the bridge in disadvantage to them, people from Cambridge feel that they have not been consulted in this change that will affect their commute for the next five years.

A little brief, but nice work.
